Authorities were searching for missing workers early Wednesday after a fire broke out on a drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico that was on contract to British oil company BP PLC. A spokesman for Transocean Ltd, which owns and operates the rig, said most of the 126-member crew had been safely evacuated.
