In an order to provide children a safe place to play, USAA employees worked with the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department at Farias Park. Some residents thought that Farias Park needed a big, new playground for children as the old place was too dangerous for children to play there. They were given $70,000 to make new playground and new equipments. USAA employees and retirees worked for whole 700 hours for children and provided them with a new park that contained everything from paintings to new equipments.
